When you use Mono, you trust us with your
information. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what data we
collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. This is important and we
hope you will take time to read it carefully.
Our Privacy Policy explains:
- What information we collect and why we collect it.
- How we use that information.
- The choices we offer, including how to access and update information.
Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways to provide better services to all of our users:
- Information you give us - Mono
creates accounts based on your email address used for your Google account on
Android. This is guaranteed to be unique. If you have more than one account on
your device you can create multiple accounts on Mono. No other information from
your Google account is accessed or used – just the email address to uniquely
identify you. You choose an alias for each account which we store. You can also
store playlists in Mono which are saved in the Google Cloud Platform for retrieval later
or on other devices. These can be kept private or shared publicly to other Mono
users.
- Information we get from your use of our services - we collect
information about your use of Mono. This information includes:
- Device Information - we collect device-specific information (such as
your hardware model and operating system version) and associate that with your
Mono account.
- Log Information - when you use Mono we automatically collect and store certain
information through Google Analytics for the purpose of understanding overall
application usage across all users. This includes:
- Details of which features and screens are used.
- Details of which songs are played.
- Location Information - when you use Mono, you may grant permission to allow Mono
to collect and process information about your actual location. This is for the
sole purpose of finding concerts near you to avoid you having to specify your
current location.
- Local storage - Mono saves your application preferences on your local device
storage and also uses local storage to temporarily cache image files.
- Cookies and similar technologies - Mono does not directly make use of cookies or similar
technologies but some of the services we use may, such as Google Analytics,
YouTube and the Google App Engine.
How we use information we collect
Mono uses any collected information only within the application and its supporting
infrastructure. Saved information is not shared or sold to any third parties
for any purpose. Should this change we will always ask for your consent before
using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this
Privacy Policy.
Information security
All stored information is saved on local device storage or
within Google’s cloud infrastructure. We believe these services to be secure
and adequate for the storage of playlists associated with an individual user
but we are not ultimately responsible for their security or integrity.
When this Privacy Policy applies
Our Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by
Mono but excludes services that have separate privacy policies that do not
incorporate this Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by other
companies or individuals, including products or sites that may be displayed to
you in search results, sites that may include Google services, or other sites
linked from our services. Our Privacy Policy does not cover the information
practices of other companies and organizations who advertise our services, and
who may use cookies, pixel tags and other technologies to serve and offer
relevant ads.
